COS Hires New Dean of Instruction
Dr. Zachary Zweigle has been hired as the new Dean of Instruction at College of the Siskiyous. Zweigle most recently was the Department Chair for Social Sciences and history faculty at Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri.

COS Communication System Keeps Students Informed
It's that time of year ... school has started, sporting events are underway, and the weather is really beginning to change. At COS, we want everyone to be informed of what is happening as well as prepared, especially in case of a campus closure or late start due to severe weather.

Brand New Class Offerings, No Cost to Participate!!
Life Long Learning is an umbrella term that includes noncredit education, continuing education, and community education (fee based) courses. The College of the Siskiyous Life Long Learning Program provides the opportunity for lifelong learners to improve, upgrade, and learn new skills and knowledge.


COS Athletic Events Scheduled this Week
Volleyball vs. Simpson (September 26 in Weed, 6:00 pm); Men's and Women's Soccer vs. Lassen (September 29 in Weed, 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm); Cross Country at Think Pink Invite (September 28 in Redding); Football vs. Modesto (September 30 in Modesto, 6:00 pm). COS Board of Trustees Meeting
The next meeting of the Siskiyou Joint Community College District will be held Tuesday, October 3 at the Yreka Campus in the RHSI, Room 123. Open public session will begin at 6:00 pm.
