Designed to increase student confidence in Mathematics. The topics are equivalent to those from the first half of Elementary Algebra, but the extended time frame allows for more in-class work and additional discussion of special applications and problems of historical interest. Topics include properties of and operations on real numbers, linear equations, linear systems, exponents and polynomials. Recommended for students who have never successfully completed an algebra course. (NDA)
