This course will introduce the student to human biomechanics, and functional anatomy and physiology of exercise. This course provides the overview of how to assess cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body fat, pulmonary function, and blood pressure and evaluate the results. The course is designed for students interested in a career in the fitness industry or for those students interested in furthering their understanding of the effects of exercise on the mind and body. This is a preparation course for the National Counsel on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) Personal Trainer Board Examination and certification. (AA, CSU).
