Siskiyous sophomore forward Karlee Myers broke the school’s all-time career scoring record after a 44-point explosion at Feather River last Wednesday. After netting nine points versus Shasta College Saturday (pictured), Myers lays claim to 950 career points for the Eagles. |
Somewhere along her way to tying a single game College of the Siskiyous scoring record by dropping 44 points on Feather River College at Quincy last Wednesday, Karlee Myers became the Eagles' all-time scoring leader in women's basketball.
“They didn't have an answer for her,” coach Tom Powers said of his sophomore forward. “It was one of those games where even we didn't know how many points she had.”
To date, Myers has tallied 950 points for the Eagles, who have six games remaining on their regular season schedule.
Myers passed previous women's hoops all-time scoring leader Beth Lafoon at 916.
The Eagles sport an 18-5 overall and 3-1 Golden Valley Conference record after victories over Feather River and Shasta College last week.
Myers, who hails from Chico, was the GVC's leading scorer last season and made the all-conference team as a freshman.
