ART 1506 - Intermediate Ceramics

Intermediate ceramics is the second semester in this discipline. It focuses more on development of intermediate concepts and techniques for use in this medium. Wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques and assignments make up this compliment to the introductory semester. More extensive study on wheel and hand techniques that build on the foundational ideas presented in Art 1006. Introductory involvement in new intermediate areas of studio procedures including kiln firing, glaze calculation, and glazing techniques are also introduced. (AA, CSU, UC) Prerequisite: ART 1006.
