I've tried to organize these a bit, and make some comments on some of them. some I can't open on my school machine because of that issue with not having the right version of flash, but can on my laptop. So I'm hoping you can load all of them on your machines, and if you can't, it's because you need an application that you don't have, (and I can't help you get it)

On both these, remember that they're real good for what happens pre-synaptically , but they gloss over the concept of summation and don't even mention the axon hilloock.

ACTION POTENTIAL

First part of an AP. In the middle, there's a section where they show a couple of little red things coming in to bind to a CR gated Na channel and only really say that a 'stimulus is generated'. They're playing loose and easy with the idea of 'generating a stimulus'. So kinda ignore that and focus on the rest of it.

What happens at the top of the repolarization and return to RMP.

This is the good one from earlier today, just focusing on the VR Na and K channels.

SIMPLE PROPAGATION

You have to click on 'loop' in the lower right corner. Once you've watched it go through, you can use 'step' to slow it down and look at each piece. Pretty good. Note that the two needles in the axon are picking up when the AP reaches that point.

SALTATORY CONDUCTION

They call it by a couple of goofy names, and they don't really show the local current, but it's a nice visual. The very last bit is helpful.

Another 'loop' animation. compare it to the one above. Together they do a nice job of showing how much faster saltatory conduction is than simple propagation.
