CHEM 1000 - Introduction to Chemistry

CHEM 1000 is designed for students transferring into an allied health program. This course will give students an understanding of introductory chemical topics including the properties of matter, atomic structure, bonding, nomenclature, chemical reactions, energy, equilibrium, acids and bases, solutions and nuclear chemistry. The course serves as a preparation course for allied health majors and some biological programs and as a preparation course for general chemistry. (AA, CSU, UC) Prerequisite: MATH 0850 or MATH 0851 and MATH 0852.
