ENGINEERING 35 Mechanics for Engineers-Statics Offered in the Fall
Course Description: This course includes the determination of external and internal forces and moments on engineering structures and machines etc. Vector and scalar methods are used to solve force and moment problems. The 'user friendly' definition: The analysis of "static" objects (example: bridges and cranes) under the action of forces. A great class where students get to apply and hone their problem solving skills on realistic engineering applications.

PHYS 4A (mechanical oscillations
and waves) is a prerequisite for ENGR 35, and MATH
5C is normally taken concurrently. This class is applicable for Engineering
