Course description
Learn about the geology of Lassen Volcanic National Park during an evening presentation and a one-day field trip. The evening session will introduce the geologic setting of the Lassen volcanic center, describe its eruptive history and products, and discuss its potential hazards. The field trip will give students opportunities to study a variety of volcanic and glacial features throughout the park, as well as explore the Bumpass Hell geothermal area.
