Date and Location
On the night of Commencement, May 19, 2017, graduation candidates will line up at 6:30 pm SHARP on the sidewalk immediately north of the gym and march into the gym PROMPTLY at 7:00 pm. We ALWAYS start on time. The Commencement will take approximately one hour.
Petitioning to Graduate
All students who are completing graduation requirements must file a "Petition to Graduate" available online or at the Counseling office. It is recommended that you petition after registering for your spring classes. The earlier the better! (Priority Deadline for submission is April 1). Late petitions will result in your name not being listed in the program.
Students interested in becoming the student graduation speaker must apply and try-out before a panel comprised of staff, students and faculty. April 11th is the last day to submit the application. Applications are avaliable in the Admissions & Records Office.
Regalia (Caps, Gowns, Tassels)
All students participating in Commencement must wear a cap and gown. Regalia will be available in the Campus Gift and Bookstore in late April. Prices will be available in early April. It includes cap, gown, tassel, and diploma cover. Caps and gowns should be picked up no later than 4:00 pm on the Monday before graduation. You will receive the diploma cover at Commencement.

On the night of Commencement the gym will open at 6:00 pm. Tickets are not required and there is no reserved seating. Please read below for disability accommodations.

There will be a cake reception for graduates and their guests in the Student Center immediately following the ceremony.

Pending successful completion of your courses, your degree will be sent to the address on your graduation petition in late July.
GRADUATION CANDIDATES WILL BE MAILED COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION IN EARLY APRIL, 2016.
