Calling all Crafters and Artisans: Vendor spaces are still available!! The 17th Annual Holiday Craft Fair will be held on Friday evening, December 5, 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, December 6, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the COS Weed Campus in the gymnasium.  This show celebrates the finest of hand-crafted products produced by local and regional artisans and crafters.  Vendor registrations are now being accepted.  For more information or to request a registration packet, call (530) 938-5373 or visit the Weed Campus Office Public Relations & Foundation Office. COS Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting: The next COS Board of Trustees meeting will be held November 4 at the COS Weed Campus in the Board Room. Closed session at 5PM and open public session at 6PM.

COS Fall Play Opens November 7: The Importance of Being Earnest will show on the Weed Campus Kenneth W. Ford Theater Stage, Friday and Saturday, November 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 7PM. The finale matinee will be Sunday, November 16.

2015 Spring Registration Opens in November: Registration for the 2015 COS Spring Semester will begin in November.  Priority registration will start November 10, open registration will start November 17, and K-12 Admit registration will start November 24.  Plan now to meeting with an advisor or counselor to get the classes you want and need.

November Campus Closures: The COS Weed and Yreka Campuses will be closed (no classed) on the following days - Tuesday, November 11 (Veteran's Day Holiday); Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28 (Thanksgiving Holiday).  No evening classes will be held on Wednesday, November 26.

Music Department Schedules End of the Semester Concerts: Get ready for some great music!! The COS Music Department has scheduled concerts to be held in December - COS Concert Band (December 5 at 7PM), COS Orchestra (December 7 at 3PM), COS Vocal Jazz Ensemble / Concert Choir / Chamber Choir Performance (December 13 at 7PM and December 14 at 3PM). 

Fall Semester Finals Week: Finals week is Monday, December 15 through Thursday, December 18.

Vocational Nursing Program Graduation is December 18: Mark it on your calendar... the COS Vocational Nursing Program will hold a graduation / pinning ceremony on Thursday, December 18 at 5PM in the COS Theater.  Family and friends of the graduates are invited to attend.

Winter Closure / Semester Break: The COS Campuses will be closed for the Winter Break, December 24 through January 1. Both campuses will reopen January 2, 2015. The 2015 spring semester will begin Monday, January 12.

Applications Available for SSS Program: The SSS Program application is available in hardcopy form from the Weed Campus SSS Office as well as online.  The Program offers a dedicated staff who are available to help with counseling, advising, progress follow-up, financial aid application assistance and numerous other services.

Free Success Seminars at COS - Every student heads into college with the intention of achieving his or her goals. To help you gain the skills necessary to achieve your goals, the Academic Success Center has developed a series of 50 minute seminars which will help you build skills and confidence in a variety of areas.  Success Seminars are offered during the fall and spring semesters.

Census Reports Now Available Online: Students can check their progress by logging into their Navigator account.  Select
your Student Tab and then the semester you want to view under your Student Grades channel to view academic progress.

Sign Up Today for Everbridge: This is a free emergency notification system COS uses when notifying students and staff of emergency situations or campus closures.  

Important Reminder for Students: To avoid being dropped from your classes, we encourage you to pay fees in full when enrolling or make payment arrangements by creating a contract with the COS Business Office.  Financial Aid can be considered when creating a contract to pay IF all required documents have been submitted to the Financial Aid Office. Stop by (or call 938-5310) the COS Business Office with any questions.

NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) Offering Expanded Course Offerings at COS in Spring and Summer 2015: The College will offer classes during the Spring/Summer of 2015 through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). See the NOLS WMI WEMT course schedule for more information.
