Last Chance to See Siskiyou Senior Players to Present High on the Slopes of Mt. Shasta: The Siskiyou Senior Players will present the final weekend of their 10th annual spring show, “High on the Slopes of Mt Shasta" on Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30 at 7PM. During the show, guests will meet Senators Blowhard, Bott, and Clueless. Gertrude the Damsel in distress, Stoney and the Mayor, and many more as they take you higher up the slippery slopes of the mountain for your enjoyment at the COS Black Box Studio Theatre. Tickets available at the door and at the Village Book Store in Mt. Shasta. Cost to attend is a donation of $10.00. Limited seating available. Advisory: Some Mature Content.
COS is Celebrating National Poetry Month: Thursday, April 28 stop by the COS Library for "live" poetry readings by COS students and faculty. Library doors will open at 6:40PM with the readings starting at 7PM. Featured student poets include: Quinton Dixon, Shondi Farris, Taylor Scully, and Mercy Talley, along with faculty poets Maria Elena Fernandez, Jacalyn McNamara, Charlie Unkefer, Samantha Worthington, and Jed Wyman. Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be provided. The event is open to the public.
Reg365 - Summer Session, Fall, and Spring Semester Registration: Open registration for the 2016 Summer Session and Fall Semester, as well as the 2017 spring semester (Reg365) will begin May 2. Register early to get the classes you want and need.
COS Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting: The next COS Board of Trustees meeting will be held May 3, 2016 at the COS Weed Campus in the Board Room. Closed session at 5PM and open public session at 6PM.

2016 COS Commencement: The 2016 Commencement (Graduation) will be held Friday, May 20 at 8PM in the COS Gymnasium. Family and friends of candidates for graduation are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony in the John Mantle Student Center.
Career & Technical Education Department Announces Spring Graduation Ceremonies: Ceremonies will be held in the COS Weed Campus Theater. Family and friends of the graduates are invited to attend.
Finals Week: May 23 - 26. Last day of the Spring Semester is Thursday, May 26.
Campus Closed for Memorial Day Holiday: The COS Weed and Yreka Campuses will be closed Monday, May 30 for the Memorial Day Holiday.
Stay Connected with COS - Sign up for our Alert Communication System: COS uses an alerting system called Everbridge to stay connected with our students. This is a free system we use to notify students and staff of emergency situations, campus closures, or general student information. In order to receive alerts or other updates from COS you need to create an account by clicking on the ‘sign up’ link on the bottom of our COS Everbridge Portal. Within your Everbridge account you can specify which alerts, if any, to subscribe to in the Alert Subscription section.
Applications Available for SSS Program: The SSS Program application is available in hardcopy form from the Weed Campus SSS Office as well as online. The Program offers a dedicated staff who are available to help with counseling, advising, progress follow-up, financial aid application assistance and numerous other services.
Free Success Seminars at COS - Every student heads into college with the intention of achieving his or her goals.
To help you gain the skills necessary to achieve your goals, the Academic Success Center has developed a series of 50 minute seminars which will help you build skills and confidence in a variety of areas. Success Seminars are offered during the fall and spring semesters.
Census Reports Now Available Online: Students can check their progress by logging into their Navigator account. Select your Student Tab and then the semester you want to view under your Student Grades channel to view academic progress.
NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) Offering Expanded Course Offerings at COS in Summer 2016: The College will offer classes during the Summer of 2016 through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). See the NOLS WMI WEMT course schedule for more information.
