Registration for Summer / Fall 2015 Now Open: Registration will begin Monday, April 27 at 8AM.
Women in STEM Event: College of the Siskiyous, in cooperation with the Siskiyou County Office of Education, College OPTIONS, Expanding Your Horizons, Northern California Girl Scouts, and the AAUW Siskiyou Chapter, are hosting a career options conference for Siskiyou and Shasta County middle school aged girls (grades 5-8). The conference will highlight careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields by featuring hands-on presentations by local women in STEM careers. One day only, the Expanding Your Horizons Career Options conference will be held Saturday, May 2 from 9:30AM to 3PM at the COS Weed Campus. Registration for the conference is $10 for students and $5 for adults (included in the fee is the cost of lunch). Financial aid assistance is also available with information on the conference website. Registration is open.
COS Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting: The next COS Board of Trustees meeting will be held May 5 at the COS Weed Campus in the Board Room. Closed session at 5PM and open public session at 6PM.
Save the Date - COS Graduation is May 15: The 2015 COS Commencement Ceremony will be held Friday, May 15 beginning at 8PM in the COS Gymnasium.
COS Choirs to Present Spring Concert: The COS Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Choir, and Concert Choir will present a spring concert on Saturday, May 9 at 7PM and Sunday, May 10 at 3PM.
Student Email access has changed! The link to your COS student email on Navigator has changed and no longer directly links to your Office 365 student email. Go to the student email section of the Getting Started with Navigator page for information and instructions.
Stay Connected with COS - Sign up for our Alert Communication System: COS uses an alerting system called Everbridge to stay connected with our students. This is a free system we use to notify students and staff of emergency situations, campus closures, or general student information. In order to receive alerts or other updates from COS you need to create an account by clicking on the ‘sign up’ link on the bottom of our COS Everbridge Portal. Within your Everbridge account you can specify which alerts, if any, to subscribe to in the Alert Subscription section.
Applications Available for SSS Program: The SSS Program application is available in hardcopy form from the Weed Campus SSS Office as well as online. The Program offers a dedicated staff who are available to help with counseling, advising, progress follow-up, financial aid application assistance and numerous other services.
Free Success Seminars at COS - Every student heads into college with the intention of achieving his or her goals.
To help you gain the skills necessary to achieve your goals, the Academic Success Center has developed a series of 50 minute seminars which will help you build skills and confidence in a variety of areas. Success Seminars are offered during the fall and spring semesters.
Census Reports Now Available Online: Students can check their progress by logging into their Navigator account. Select your Student Tab and then the semester you want to view under your Student Grades channel to view academic progress.
Important Reminder for Students: To avoid being dropped from your classes, we encourage you to pay fees in full when enrolling or make payment arrangements by creating a contract with the COS Business Office. Financial Aid can be considered when creating a contract to pay IF all required documents have been submitted to the Financial Aid Office. Stop by (or call 938-5310) the COS Business Office with any questions.
NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) Offering Expanded Course Offerings at COS in Spring and Summer 2015: The College will offer classes during the Spring/Summer of 2015 through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). See the NOLS WMI WEMT course schedule for more information.
