College of the Siskiyous

Disbursement Dates

College of the Siskiyous is partnering with BankMobile, a financial services company, to deliver financial aid disbursements to COS students. Students who have completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and are registered for classes, will receive a green envelope in the mail from BankMobile. It will contain a personal code and instructions on how to select your disbursement preference. To ensure that you receive your financial aid when school starts, make sure your mailing address is correct and that you have selected your disbursement preference.

Students who never received a selection kit or lost their BankMobile Vibe Account card prior to activation should contact or visit the Financial Aid Office or call (530) 938-5209. You can also request a BankMobile Personal Code by completing these steps:

Generating a BankMobile Personal Code:

  • Go to www.refundselection.com
  • Click on "Need a Code?" at the bottom of the screen
  • Enter "College of the Siskiyous" as your school, your student ID# and email address and click Continue
  • Confirm that you want a Personal Code sent
  • Once you have received your Personal Code, you will be able to create your BankMobile account.

Pell Grants are disbursed twice per semester.

Cal Grants are disbursed once per semester and there will be "make-up" payments during each semester.

FSEOG is disbursed once per semester and usually paid 2 -3 weeks after the beginning of the semester.

Federal Direct Loans are disbursed once per semester and generally follow the Pell grant schedule. The first loan disbursement for new borrowers (never borrowed a federal loan) is scheduled 30 days after the first day of school. More information regarding the loan process is on our website.

Students who reside in the Lodges, all grant checks, scholarship checks, or loan monies will be applied to the balance on the student's housing contract. Any remaining funds will be disbursed to the student.

If you receive an award notification after the first payment; you will be paid on a "make-up" disbursement date which is scheduled approximately every two weeks.
