The Foundation, an auxiliary organization of College of the Siskiyous,
is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

Since 1992, the Foundation has actively raised funds with the intent of helping to keep COS at the forefront of educational quality by developing new programs, improving facilities, providing equipment, and offering student scholarships. (Photo above shows furniture purchased by COS Foundation through community donations received in support of student success.)

The funds raised by the Foundation Board benefit five areas of priority:

  2. offering student scholarships
  3. acquiring and supporting new technologies
  4. completing campus renovations and new building projects
  5. enhancing the arts

Quality education depends on fiscal stability, well-maintained facilities and equipment, up-to-date technology, and a faculty and staff that are current with new and innovative advances in their fields. Since its inception, the Foundation has worked to assist the Board of Trustees and College staff to maintain its standard of excellence.
