     Mark Healy joined the College of the Siskiyous October 26, 1981.  He has been married to Loretta since 1968.  They have 3 sons and 2 granddaughters.  Mark spends much of his free time working in his garden.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Mark Healy is responsible for all operations of the Maintenance, Operations and Transportation Department. These operations include but are not limited to:

  • Planning, constructing, renovating, and maintaining campus buildings and grounds.
  • Overseeing the campus Van Pool.
  • Overseeing the Custodial and Maintenance Departments.

  • Assigning, monitoring, and inspecting all work done by Trades, Maintenance and Grounds workers.

  • Issuing and reviewing work orders.

  • Authorizing all purchases for the Maintenance, Operations and Transportation Department.

  • Directing and supervising the maintenance of lawns, athletic fields, trees, shrubs, flowers, sidewalks, roads, parking areas, and irrigation systems on campus.

  • Initiating and managing the development of required Safety and Environmental Compliance Programs for the Physical Plant.

  • Campus Asbestos and Hazardous Material Management..

  • Personnel training and supervising.

  • Working with other departments to provide a safe and healthy campus environment.
