Online Students

If you are registered for an online course, get started by going to the list of courses and clicking on the link for yours. There you will find contact information for your instructor and instructions for logging in.

Please be aware that you might not be able to see your classes in Etudes until the day the class starts, though some instructors make their material available a few days ahead of time. Do not wait for your instructor to contact you. Log in to Etudes and start your class on the first day. You are responsible for beginning and making progress in your online class!

It you are having trouble logging into Etudes or seeing your online class in Etudes, refer to the Etudes Student Help page for further information and a way to contact us. If you have been able to get in and work within the class, but are having problems with the class itself, contact your instructor with your questions.

Be sure to set up your COS student e-mail in Navigator and check it regularly (or have it forwarded to an address you check regularly); that is the e-mail address the College will use to communicate with you.

Orientation to Online Learning - EDUC 0890

Are you new to online courses? Does your on-campus class require you to use Etudes to access course material? Take the 1/2 unit course, Orientation to Online Learning (EDUC 0890) - the spring class has been cancelled due to low enrollment - to learn to use Etudes, our online course management system. Currently, over 100 COS courses make use of the Etudes LMS (Learning Management System), so now is a good time to become familiar with it!

Library Services to Distance Education Students
