The Student Center Fee, known as the Student Access Fee, was approved by a vote of the College Student Body in the Spring of 2012 and approved by the College Board of Trustees in June of 2012. The minimal fee, paid by all students, supports the operations of the Student Center. The Associated Student Body manages these funds. Students may be expected to show their card prior to receiving benefits from local vendors or on campus.
Each student enrolled in any credit bearing course pays $1 per credit hours up to $5 per semester. The Fee is added to your at the time of registration. The fee can be paid at the Cashier's window in the Student Center or paid online through your Navigator account using a credit or debit card. This fee is non-refundable.
Where to Pick up your Student Access Card:
Cards are printed thoughout the year in Ponderosa Lodge on the Weed Campus. During the first week of classes staff are avaliable for walk-ins Monday-Friday 10-4pm and always by appointment. Students who are not on the Weed Campus may email a photo of themselves to Lodges@siskiyous.edu, from their COS student email account, and a card will be mailed to them. A new card is not printed each term, rather a term sticker is used to indicate a student is enrolled in a particular term. Student Access Cards identify a student as a currently enrolled COS student and when a student withdraws from all classes card privileges may expire at some locations.
1- Students who receive Board of Governors Waiver type A, are eligible to have this fee waived. Other types of BOG recipients must pay the Student Access Fee.
