  • Study Skills Support: In the ASC, we know that academic success skills are not innate; they are learned and can be strengthened. Your "ASC Study Guide" will help you better understand your own learning processes and preferences, so that you can apply study skills and strategies that help maximize your learning potential and confidence.
  • Tutor-Facilitated Study Groups (It's more fun than studying alone!): Beginning this semester, tutor-facilitated study groups are offered for several courses. In these groups, you and your classmates will study together with the encouragement and support of a tutor.
  • Paper Review: Seasoned writers know that the key to success is to use the writing process: brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing. Increase your chances of essay-writing success by seeking a writing tutor's feedback which will help you revise your paper for enhanced success.
  • NetTutor: Need tutoring support outside of ASC Tutoring hours? NetTutor has you covered 24/7, even on weekends!
  • EdTALKS (formerly "Student Success Seminars"): Co-hosted by Eddy the Eagle and our members of our ASC staff, EdTALKS are brief workshops designed to provide you with the tools, skills, and strategies you need to gain learning confidence and to make the most out of your college experience. All EdTALKS are free and available to COS students and staff. To attend, simply click your EdTALKS Zoom link.
  • Virtual Student Help Desk support: Pop into our Student Help Desk Zoom room for technology assistance related to mySiskiyous, COS email, and Canvas.
