Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Certificate: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) (6 units)

The Certified Nurse Assistant program is a 180-hour course offering theory and clinical experience for students to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for state certification examinations.

Vocational Nursing Program

The three-semester Vocational Nursing program is designed to prepare the student for beginning practice in nursing care. Theory content provides each student with a basic understanding of the roles and responsibilities of vocational nurses in providing health care to all age groups. After course completion and licensure, students are prepared to function completely and skillfully in a wide variety of health care settings.

Completion of math, writing and reading assessments are required for enrollment in any certificate or AA/AS degree program. Please contact Counseling and Student Support Programs for more information: (530) 938-5353. Students must receive a "C" grade or better in all major or certificate coursework.

LVN to RN Step Up

The LVN to RN Step-Up is no longer offered at College of the Siskiyous, and is not accepting applications.
