About the ASC

The ASC is College of the Siskiyous' hub of learning support. Located in the Learning Resource Center on the Weed Campus, the ASC offers both in-person and remote learning support services that help students maximize their learning potential. The ASC's inclusive and individualized supports help you achieve the following:

Identify academic and holistic supports that promote a sense of belonging in college and contribute to your success.
Construct awareness of your unique learning processes, preferences, assets, and challenges.
Cultivate skills and healthy mindsets that enhance academic success and learning confidence.

Virtual Student Help Desk support: Pop into our Student Help Desk Zoom room for technology assistance related to mySiskiyous, COS email, and Canvas.

Where can I find ASC updates?

The ASC webpage is the best place to access updated information about ASC hours and services.

Is test proctoring available?

Yes! In-person test proctoring for paper exams as well as for Honorlock-enabled exams is available by appointment. To request an appointment, students should email asc@siskiyous.edu.

To set up proctoring for a paper exam, instructors should complete the Instructor Test Proctoring Request Form.

Will EdTALKS be offered this semester?

Are laptops available for students to check out?

A limited number of laptops are available for student checkout through the COS Library.

Are graphing calculators available for students to check out?

Graphing calculators are available for semester-long checkout through the COS Library.

What safety precautions and protcols are in place in the ASC?

Maintaining the health and safety of students and staff is a top priority. In order to use the ASC, students are expected to adhere to the college's safety policy and protocols and to engage in the space responsibly and respectfully. Note: Only registered COS students have access to the Academic Success Center and its services.
