Academic Coaching

Academic Coaching at College of the Siskiyous

The Academic Success Center is thrilled to be able to offer COS students an exciting new service: Academic Coaching.

Academic coaching helps you boost your academic performance and well-being. Academic coaching is offered through a series of one-on-one meetings in which our coaches listen and learn about you, so they can offer meaningful support focused on the following:

  • identifying values and setting goals
  • learning how to study smarter
  • managing school-work-life balance
  • increasing motivation and confidence

Academic Coaching is For You

Academic coaches are relationship-builders who appreciate that your strengths lie in your individuality. Coaching is for everyone, including students who have positive prior experiences in academia as well as those who have felt like academic outsiders. While coaching is not available at every college and university, because of its positive impact on a variety of learners, it is offered in some community colleges as well as Ivy League universities such as Harvard, Dartmouth, and Brown. Regardless of where you come from, where you are headed, and how you feel about college, if you are looking to improve performance and/or to get an edge, academic coaching is for you.
