Weed / COS – It's that time of year… school has started, sports are underway, and the weather is changing. At College of the Siskiyous, we want everyone to be informed of what is happening as well as prepared, especially in case of a campus closure or late start due to severe weather or other emergency situations.
College of the Siskiyous uses a FREE alerting system called COS Connect (powered by Everbridge) to notify students and staff of emergency situations, campus closures, or campus events and announcements. Alerts are sent to the user as either a text message, email, or both.
All students (or parents and relatives of students) are encouraged to sign up to receive alerts. In order to receive emergency alerts, or other campus updates from COS, you need to create an account by clicking on the "COS Connect" button located on the COS website. Within your new COS Connect account, you can specify which alerts, if any, to subscribe to in the Alert Subscription section.
For more information about the COS Connect notification system or if you have trouble signing up, contact the COS Public Relations Office at the Weed Campus (530) 938-5373. The Weed Campus can also be reached by calling (530) 938-5555 or toll-free (888) 397-4339
