Weed /COS – We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Melissa Ericsson as the new Vice President of Administrative Services (VPAS) at College of the Siskiyous. Ms. Ericsson brings over 20 years of experience in education and a strong dedication to academic and organizational excellence to this vital leadership role.
A proud native of Siskiyou County and an alumna of College of the Siskiyous, Ms. Ericsson holds a deep connection to the community and a personal understanding of the region’s educational needs. She earned her Master of Science in School Business Leadership from Wilkes University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Accounting from Southern Oregon University, and is currently advancing her expertise through doctoral coursework in Higher Education Organizational Leadership at Liberty University.
Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Ericsson has demonstrated leadership in a variety of educational roles, including 14 years as a middle and high school teacher, five years as an elected school board member, and four years as a Chief Business Official. For the past two years, she has served as the Director of Fiscal Services at College of the Siskiyous, where she effectively managed the institution’s financial strategies in support of its mission.
Ms. Ericsson is professionally certified as a Chief Business Official by the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), further demonstrating her expertise in financial and organizational leadership within education.
