Registration is now open for 2023 Undocumented Student Action Week. The California Community Colleges enrolls the largest population of undocumented students in the nation. Our faculty, staff, and administrators are vitally important to ensuring that all of our students can achieve their goals, regardless of their citizenship status
As many of you know, Undocumented Student Action Week (USAW) was created to raise awareness about the challenges that students without status encounter along their educational journey. More importantly, USAW is about discussing solutions at local, statewide, and federal levels that support their educational dreams.
For the first time, USAW will kick-off with a full-day event will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm on the Fresno City College campus aimed at fostering connections and engagement as a community of advocates. To carry on the efforts, California Community Colleges will also be hosting a series of webinars throughout the week.
The events are intended to inform our California Community College students and allies about how they can build a strong ecosystem that breaks down silos and promotes a collaborative campus approach to support the success of our undocumented students.
More information regarding the events can be found on the California Community Colleges Undocumented Student Action Week website.
