Donations are accepted: Tuesday - Saturday, open to 3:00 pm
Our merchandise mainly comes from community donations. Our success as a Resale Shop is due to the generosity of our community. Good stuff is a matter of taste. And we know yours is superb. So let it be your guide. Or take a few tips from us. "Good Stuff can be something you just bought, something you wore yesterday, or something you would wear today (if you weren't donating it). If it's good enough to lend to your best friend and clean enough to make your mother proud, we'd love to have it."
Besides clothing we accept small working appliances, books, shoes, jewelry, vintage and antiques, home decor, and kitchen items. All furniture items are previewed before acceptance. To donate furniture, call the Shop at (530) 938-4663. Items not accepted include: Large appliances, computers and computer related items (fax machines, copiers), children's toys, pillows, and mattresses (no re-modeled items i.e sinks, toilets, lighting fixtures without plugs, etc).
We accept donations Tuesday through Saturday from Open until 3:00 pm (unless the shop is closed). Ring the doorbell at the drop-off area at the back door. If you need assistance unloading, one of our motivated volunteers, or students, will be glad to help. When you help us with donations, we help you with taxes by giving you a statement to itemize your donations. Remember IRS regulations state that donated items be valued at fair market value.
We welcome volunteers! We run on volunteer power, from receiving and processing merchandise to stocking the sales floor and assisting customers. As a regular volunteer, you will receive a 15% discount on purchases (excludes vintage items, antiques, and furniture) as well as the satisfaction of knowing that you're helping area students get the education they need to fulfill their potential, and their dreams. To learn more, call the Shop Supervisor at (530) 938-4663 or send us an email.
Volunteers work four hour shifts once a week, or more if you wish, and have the opportunity to serve as mentors to students as they learn about the real world of retail business. All volunteers receive a handbook which explains about the shop, expectations, and other handy information.
Volunteers can choose to cashier, screen items as they come in, sort and steam clothing for the sales floor, price merchandise, repair items as needed or perform janitorial duties. We have monthly lunches, an annual Holiday party and a Volunteers Appreciation event. All volunteers receive a 15% discount off everything in the store except vintage items, antiques and furniture. Additionally, volunteers regularly receive small tokens of appreciation, COS music and theater performance tickets, athletic season passes, and much more!
We believe that an educated citizenry is essential to a healthy community. In pursuit of this vision, the Eagle's Nest Resale Shop provides funding to the College of the Siskiyous Foundation to support scholarships, equipment, and supplies to improve the postsecondary educational experience for the students at COS.
Higher education is a catalyst for positive transformative change. Since its founding in 1997, the Eagle's Nest has raised over $500,000 through the help of 130 volunteers who have donated more than 36,000 house of volunteer service. This has allowed the Foundation to provide more than 300 students with scholarships.
Shopping with us provides quality used clothing, a great shopping experience and an opportunity to help others. Prices are reasonable to help support the clothing and household needs of customers, students and their families who often live on a very limited income while completing their education.
It's easy to make sure you never miss a great deal please see our Facebook page for daily, weekly, and monthly sales and events.
