Math Lab

The Math Lab offers free drop-in services with math instructors and student tutors. Our staff can provide help for all math classes and answer some questions from science courses. Bring your questions to the lab or come study and ask questions as they arise. The goal of the Math Lab is to help you better learn and understand mathematics.

Writing Lab

The Writing Lab offers free 20-minute sessions with writing specialists whose goal is to help you become the most effective writer you can be. Sessions are available for students composing papers in any COS course. The lab can help with all parts of the writing process - brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing, and citing sources.

To ensure that you can meet with a specialist on the day and time of your choosing in the Weed Writing Lab, stop by or call (530) 938-5830(530) 938-5830 to make an appointment. Appointments can be made one week in advance. Walk-in sessions are also available. The Yreka Writing Lab offers walk-in services on a first-come, first-served basis.

Peer tutoring in an array of subjects is available to students currently enrolled in courses at COS. Our staff can accommodate specific subject requests. The benefits of receiving tutoring are numerous! Did you know that consistently tutored students have an 86% success rate, which can mean the difference between an A and a C?
