The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a program coordinated by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Through WUE, students from participating western states and territories may apply to enroll in college programs at a reduced tuition level (out-of-state tuition at College of the Siskiyous for the 2023-2024 school year is $311/unit, however, students on WUE pay $69/unit).
The following states participate in WUE: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The following US Pacific Territories and Freely Associated States also participate in WUE: Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Guam, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Republic of Palau.
COS is authorized under California law to serve a maximum of 100 full-time equivalent students (FTES) every year. To qualify for WUE at COS, students must meet the following requirements:
Please sign the form through your COS email. Once submitted and verified, the form is automatically emailed to the Admissions and Records office.
Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who are declined for WUE are welcome to attend COS, but must pay out-of-state tuition. Students may reapply the following term if their application was denied.
